Suffolk Surgical Associates Joins Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group

Marc E. Finkelstein, MDStony Brook Medicine is pleased to announce that Marc E. Finkelstein, MD, Robert D. Turoff, MD, and their practice, Suffolk Surgical Associates, have joined our community network. Both doctors are board-certified surgeons providing care in Bay Shore and the surrounding communities.

They have a combined 75 years of experience as surgeons, including general, colorectal, gastroenterology, trauma, surgical oncology and breast surgeries. Their extensive experience will be a valuable resource to Stony Brook’s far-reaching goal to provide the best patient care to our Long Island community," said Dr. Apostolos Tassiopoulos, Professor and Chair, Department of Surgery.

 

Robert D. Turoff, MDDr. Finkelstein is a board-certified surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina in Mexico. He completed his residency in general surgery at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, and his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Turoff is a board-certified surgeon with 40 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency in General Surgery at Nassau County Medical Center located in New York. He completed his surgical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York, where he was an American Cancer Society Clinical Fellow.
