Dr. Joseph Lebowitz has joined Stony Brook Medicine's Department of Surgery. He will be seeing patients from the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ENT).

Dr. Lebowitz received his MD from New York University Grossman School of Medicine, New York, in 2020. He completed a residency in 2025 at NYU Langone Health Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, in New York, and in July he completed a fellowship at the UNC at Chapel Hill Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in Chapel Hill, NC.

"After spending a year as a Rhinology/Skull Base fellow at UNC, it is incredibly meaningful to be coming home to begin this next chapter of my career at Stony Brook. In addition to authoring or co-authoring several peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Lebowitz has also delivered a number of podium and poster presentations. He has worked and/or volunteered in a variety of medicine-related positions at institutions including NYU Langone Health, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York University and Bellevue Hospital Center.
