Dr. Aleksandra Krajewski of Stony Brook Surgery's Division of Plastic Surgery Promoted to Associate Professor

Aleksandra Krajewski, MDStony Brook Medicine's Department of Surgery announced that Dr. Aleksandra Krajewski, MD, FACS, of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery in the Renaissance School of Medicine. Dr. Krajewski's promotion is effective as of July 8, 2025.

Dr. Krajewski is board-certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Her clinical interests and expertise include:

  • Microsurgery
  • Breast Reconstruction after Cancer

Dr. Krajewski is heavily involved with resident education and mentorship and is the Director of the Stony Brook University Hospital Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Her interests also include the roles and experiences of women in healthcare. She has been involved with Stony Brook's Group for Women in Medicine and Science, the Annual Women in Medicine and Science Research Day, and creating and hosting the first Women in Healthcare Leadership Summit in 2024.

Dr. Krajewski received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT, in 2009; completed her residency training at the same institution in 2014, and completed a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, in 2017.
