Dr. Eunice Chung, MD, FACS, has joined the Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care & Emergency Surgery in Stony Brook Medicine's Department of Surgery, today, July 7th, 2025. Dr. Chung comes to Stony Brook Medicine from Pennsylvania where she was an attending Physician at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and an Assistant Professor at Drexel University, College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

"I’m excited to come to Long Island and join the trauma/critical care and acute care surgery team at Stony Brook," said Dr. Chung. "I am proud to join a service that serves the community and takes care of those who come to us in need of emergent surgical and medical care. I’m also really looking forward to teaching [Assistant Professor] and working with the residency program--a surgeon once told me that although we work with individual patients as surgeons, our impact is multiplied by our teaching and so our reach spreads by multitudes when we teach residents and their residents teach residents what we have learned."
