Dr. Christopher Vanison, MD, of the Department of Surgery's Division of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery has been promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery in the Renaissance School of Medicine. Dr. Vanison's promotion comes as an acknowledgement of his significant accomplishments as a clinician, teacher and mentor.
Dr. Vanison, an Otolaryngologist–Head & Neck Surgeon, focuses on the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head & neck as well as microvascular reconstructive surgery. Additionally, his interests and expertise includes:

A Long Island native, Dr. Vanison received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, DC; completed his residency training at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery in Chicago, and then completed fellowship training at the University of California Davis, Head & Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery in Sacramento, CA. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Head & Neck Society and the American Academic of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery.
