Personal Statement

  • Marlo Dombroff has been practicing as a Physician Assistant in Women’s Health since 2001. She has been working in the subspecialty of gynecologic oncology since 2008. Her professional credo is to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family.  Marlo is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Stony Brook’s School of Health, Technology and Management and guest lectures at Stony Brook’s PA Program as well as serving on the Admissions Committee. She is interested in clinical research and is the Principal Investigator of an IRB approved prospective study titled, “Treatment Related Cognitive Dysfunction in Endometrial Cancer Patients.” Marlo is also involved in multiple other studies in the Division of Gynecologic Evaluation and the Cancer Center Clinical Trials office.  Marlo developed and enjoys running the Gynecologic Oncology Survivorship program. In her spare time, Marlo volunteers at hospitals, nursing homes, libraries and schools with her certified therapy dog Charlie.
