Orthopaedic Trauma

Stony Brook University Hospital is Suffolk County’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and has been designated by New York State as a regional trauma center, capable of caring for the most critical patients. Our board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic traumatologists have the proficiency to treat the full spectrum of traumatic orthopaedic injuries, from simple fractures to the most complex injuries. Their expertise includes limb lengthening, treatment of open fractures, treatment of shattered bones and joints, and complex hip, limb and pelvis reconstructions.
