    There are three levels of the program, each offered twice a week for 60 minutes for eight weeks. Each level is led by a trained/certified instructor:
    • Level 1: Movements 1-6 (for Beginners)
    • Level 2: Movements 7-12
    • Level 3: Movements 13-21
    • Participants will learn:
      • Balance Skills
      • Proper Body Alignment
      • Coordinated Tai Chi movements

  • Fit Kids for Life
    • Fit Kids is a program that is offered to children and families who have cardiovascular disease risk factors, including overweight or obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or type 2 diabetes/metabolic syndrome. This program is aimed to address screening, intervention, and family involvement in the treatment of childhood overweight and obesity using nutritional education, physical activity training, yoga and stress reduction, and behavioral modification strategies. 
  • Physical therapy
    • Stony Brook Physical Therapy offers evaluations and treatments to patients of all ages, with services including arthritis care, neurologic rehabilitation, orthopedics, spinal dysfunction rehabilitation, and sports rehabilitation.
  • Occupational therapy
    • Outpatient occupational therapy provides care to those physically or cognitively impaired by physical injury and/or illness. Services include burn rehabilitation, dexterity evaluation and training, neuromuscular rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise and joint mobility.
  • Cardiac rehabilitation
    • Stony Brook's Cardiac Rehabilitation is equipped with a full range of exercise equipment, emergency equipment, and therapeutic modalities to rehabilitate patients after congestive heart failure, cardiac transplant, coronary artery bypass, and more.
