General Topics: Hours

The Ambulatory Surgery Center is opend Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6:15am; Wednesday 7:15 am.

The first cases will start on or before 7:30 a.m. The first patients will arrive from 6:15 a.m. The first cases will have completed their admission process and will be waiting in their pre-op rooms at 7:00 a.m. The surgeon needs to see the patient no later than 15 minutes before the designated start time to update any paperwork, answer questions, mark the surgical site etc. Most first patients of the day will then walk into the O.R. at 7:25 a.m. for a 7:30 start time. We expect surgeons to be in the building at least 15 minutes before your designated start time. Our primary goal is to serve our surgeons. If we are on time and you are on time the next surgeon will start on time. We need you to support this goal.

The last patient should be discharged no later than 6:00 p.m. Cases need to end at an appropriate time to allow patients to recover and then be able to go home by 6:00 p.m. That means that a minor case could end at 5:00 p.m. , but a case requiring more recovery time may need to be out of the O.R. by 4:00 p.m.

There is no activity in the building at night - the building will be locked at 7:00 p.m.

**We have no resources to run late. Please be meticulous with your times.**
