The Interventional Endoscopy Team

The Interventional Endoscopy Team is made up of highly skilled interventional gastroenterologists. The are experts in a procedure called endoscopy that can be used for diagnosing and treating GERD (and other conditions).

What is Endoscopy?
An endoscopy is a procedure used to look inside your upper digestive system (the gastrointestinal tract). This is done with the help of a tiny camera on the end of a long, flexible tube that is inserted into the mouth and moved through the esophagus. One of the gastroenterologists on the team performs the endoscopy to further diagnose, and sometimes, treat GERD (and other disorders of the esophagus).
