GI & Hepatology Researchers

There are research studies dedicated to gastrointestinal diseases and conditions, as well as projects for hepatology, being performed at Stony Brook Medicine. Research projects are so important because this is how answers to medical questions are found and breakthroughs in treatments are discovered. They also lead to clinical trials, which is when the research proceeds to phases, including testing the new findings in humans.
