The Motility Team

Our specialized Motility Center is the first comprehensive center of its kind in Suffolk County. The Center uses a highly sophisticated approach to evaluate, diagnose and provide individualized treatments for complex disorders that affect the esophagus and movement of the muscles (motility) in the esophagus.

We use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to measure, record, and analyze both patterns of muscular contraction from the esophagus and the amount of acid and non-acid reflux affecting the esophagus. These tests are performed to provide the safest, most effective course of treatment for a positive outcome. Specific tests are performed for the evaluation of the esophagus.
