We have a staff of around 100 employees and operate between two large clinics, one in Suffolk County and one in Nassau County, both of which are clean, modern, and newly renovated in 2020 and 2023. Our main site, a 26,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility located in Commack, houses all of our non-patient-facing staff, including case management, member services, and the remainder of the administrative staff.

The care coordinator will work as part of the member services team that supports 9/11 responders. The role will require working with confidential information and the need to work with families and patients on sensitive health issues. The care coordinator plays a vital role in the call center interacting with members, assessing their needs and assisting the patient with navigating the Program’s resources.

The Clerical Specialist will work as part of a large clerical team to assist with a variety of administrative tasks for the WTC Health Program.  Main areas that need clerical specialist support are: Medical Records Management and Quality Assurance. Successful incumbent must have strong communication skills.

The Clerical Specialist II position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with the implementation and roll-out of new processes with the team. This will involve, but is not limited to, coordination, training, quality control, associated follow-up reporting, data collection and dissemination of information. The Clerical Specialist II will undertake special projects as assigned and follow timelines as prescribed. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to navigate and communicate across all levels of staff. This position requires the ability to work independently within strict timelines and parameters.

The HIM Analyst component of the role involves reviewing and analyzing medical records to identify documentation deficiencies, monitor compliance, and uphold the integrity of the health record. Key duties include reclassifying misfiled documents, tracking unsigned provider orders and scanning documents. Through these responsibilities, the Health Information Management Analyst supports the overall WTC operations and ensures that medical records consistently meet organizational, regulatory, and quality standards.

The Member Services Specialist reports to the Supervisor for Member Services and works as part of a team that is centered upon assisting those that are certified to be part of the World Trade Center Health Program at Stony Brook. This role entails a combination of customer service work on the telephone, mainly scheduling, and discharging and intaking patients in our clinic. Other tasks could be assigned as needed by the supervisor to assist patients with their needs.
