SPECIALTY
We specialize in care of children from birth through age 21 years. All of the partners are board certified in pediatrics. To achieve certification, each doctor has completed specialized training after medical school and passed practical and written exams. Board certification assures you of quality care by a competent, experienced physician who has excelled in their chosen field. The nurse practitioners, who are both licensed, see both sick and well patients and may diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases.
HOSPITALIZATION
If your child needs in-hospital care, he or she will usually be admitted to Southampton Hospital. If hospitalization is necessary, the doctor will visit you regularly to monitor your child’s progress.
APPOINTMENTS
The office is open 6 ½ days per week. Patients are seen by appointment only. Please call in advance so our staff may reserve a time for you. The office number in Southampton is (631) 283-7733 and Hampton Bays is (631) 728-5300
Appointments for sick children are available on the same day or the next day. These visits are with the doctor or nurse practitioner that have available openings. As soon as you learn that a follow-up visit is needed, please make an appointment, preferably before leaving the office. Well child visits should be scheduled 1-2 months in advance with a doctor or a nurse practitioner. We will be happy to complete forms for camp or school if your child has had a well visit within the past year.
We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you can’t keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so another patient, needing medical attention, can be seen.
We realize that your time is valuable too. If your appointment must be changed because of an office emergency, we will call you right away.
As a courtesy to our patients, our staff attempts to confirm appointments the day before using a calling service. However, it is your responsibility to keep the appointment even if we have not been able to contact you.
PRENATAL VISITS
If you are new expectant parents, please schedule a visit before your baby is born. This gives us a chance to get to know each other. Plans or questions you have about your baby are discussed. There is a $45 charge for this visit.
EMERGENCIES
If you have an emergency during office hours, call our Southampton office at (631) 283-7733 or our Hampton Bays office at (631) 728-5300 and arrangements will be made to see the child quickly.

For an extreme emergency such as automobile accidents, severe burns, unconsciousness, etc., go to the nearest Emergency Room.
