Stony Brook Medicine’s Diabetes Program is pleased to offer the most advanced and supportive care to Long Islanders living with diabetes. We are proud to be Long Island’s longest running education program recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Our multidisciplinary team of diabetes education specialists has over 100 years of combined experience helping patients and their families to overcome the challenges of living with diabetes.
Stony Brook’s team of board-certified endocrinologists, certified diabetes care and education specialists and clinical nutritionists work collaboratively to provide patient-centered education, clinical consultation and counseling to patients throughout their journey with diabetes. Our inpatient diabetes team supports patients during their stay, providing access to some of the most advanced and effective tools to address glycemic control during hospitalization. Our approach to diabetes patient care has garnered national recognition placing Stony Brook University Hospital among the top 10% of all diabetes programs nation-wide.
