Microneedling

Microneedling or Fractional Dermal NeedlingMicroneedling or Fractional Dermal Needling is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, large pores and to improve skin tone. Treatment is delivered by producing microscopic injuries and invisible puncture holes in the top layer of skin to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. This process helps stimulate production of collagen and elastin production, the proteins in skin cells responsible for supporting elasticity and fullness resulting in a more youthful appearance because the skin is tighter and better conformed to underlying structures of the face. Microneedling is also referred to as collagen induction therapy using precise and controlled skin piercing with an FDA-approved device in which the physician can adjust the speed and depth of the piercings depending on the degree of resurfacing needed to correct the undesirable skin condition (scarring, pigmentation etc.).
