Advanced Practice Providers

NURSE PRACTITIONERS

Our nurse practitioners are board-certified and licensed to practice medicine. They assist our physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, ordering and reviewing diagnostic tests, and writing prescriptions.

 

Katelyn Coffey

Katelyn Doherty, ANP-C

Katelyn joined North Suffolk Cardiology in November 2020 as a nurse practitioner. She has more than seven years of experience as a registered nurse at Stony Brook University Hospital on the telemetry medical-surgical floor. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Molloy College and master of science in nursing at St Joseph's College. She is nationally certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Julianne Smith is nationally certified through the ANCC and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing in Family Medicine from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. She began her nursing career working at Mather Hospital on the Telemetry Unit. After receiving her MSN, she worked in gastroenterology, followed by internal medicine and cardiology. She is a member of the International Society of Nursing- Sigma Theta Tau. She has a passion for cardiology and believes in patient-centered care.

 

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS

 

Christine McIssac

Christine McIsaac, MS, PA-C

Christine joined North Suffolk Cardiology as a physician assistant in January 2022. She holds her certification with the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed in New York. Christine has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science from the Stony Brook University Physician Assistant Program.

Christine previously worked in women's health and has experience as a scribe in Emergency Medicine, OB/GYN and orthopedics. Christine was also a volunteer EMT with her local fire department for three years before becoming a PA and a research assistant at Stony Brook University. Christine's areas of interest include preventative cardiology and patient-centered care.

Nirupa R. RamjiSingh, MPAS, RPA-C
Clinical Operations Manager

Nirupa joined North Suffolk Cardiology in July 2019. Nirupa has been a Physician Assistant since 2004 and she is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Nirupa has a BA in Biology from Hofstra University as well as a BS and Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College. Nirupa is a graduate of the Ultrasounds Diagnostic School and she is certified as a diagnostic sonographer. Nirupa’s experience encompasses primary care, emergency/urgent care and internal medicine. Nirupa’s areas of interest include preventive cardiology and cardiac wellness.

Justin Roseman

Justin Roseman, MS, PA-C

Justin joined North Suffolk Cardiology in September 2021. He is a licensed physician assistant and holds his certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Justin received his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Emergency and Critical Care from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science from the Stony Brook University Physician Assistant Program. He previously worked in endocrinology and has traveled to Nicaragua and Ghana on student-led medical mission trips. He is keenly interested in preventive cardiology and interventional cardiology.
