Schools of Nursing and Social Welfare Interprofessional Education with Simulation Event - April 28, 2025
This interactive, case-based learning and simulation provided students in the Schools of Social Welfare (MSW) and Nursing (MHNP) a unique opportunity to learn with, from and about each other. Nursing and social welfare students worked together to complete a bio-psych-social-spiritual assessment with a standardized patient while learning the value of interprofessional communication, roles and responsibilities, and teamwork to deliver the highest quality care to patients.

The School of Health Professions annual IPE day brings SHP and SSW students together to learn with each other.

CIPI Annual Spring Event - April 25, 2025
The Center for Interprofessional Innovation’s spring workshop will explore how to choose the assessment tools for measuring learning outcomes post interprofessional education events. An overview of some common and validated tools will be provided as well as how to create assessment tools that match the expected learning outcomes from the interprofessional experience you have developed.
For the second half of the program, we are seeking interprofessional teams that are interested in delivering 15-minute presentations on innovative interprofessional learning opportunities that advance Stony Brook’s commitment to collaboration across disciplines. School of Health Professions Pediatric Interprofessional Education Day - March 7, 2025
Students from the School of Health Professions Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Speech-Language Pathology programs work together to learn about rare pediatric diagnoses and how these professions contribute to the assessment, treatment and advocacy for affected individuals and their families.

Received a 2024 IPEC Commissioned Officers Foundation Honorable Mention: Public Health Infrastructure
- Provides evidence-based health information, screening, and case management to a diverse community of patrons in the public library setting.
- Refers patrons to promote access to appropriate health and social services programs locally that will address their health and social support needs.
- Students work in interprofessional teams to develop and practice the core IPEC competencies (2023).
- Supports programs, trainings, and provides resources for librarians and their patrons.

Partnership to Advance Collaborative Education (PACE)
The PACE Center is an interprofessional health and wellness center that focuses on meeting the health promotion and disease prevention needs of older adults. Our team provides no-cost health screenings and a personalized list of recommendations and health information based on your needs and circumstances.
