Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 8 for the Stony Brook Medicine Department of Surgery's first Aortic Dissection and Aneurysm Awareness Day. This inaugural event will feature patient speakers who will talk about their experiences with aortic disease and share their testimonials. There will also be expert presentations by cardiac and vascular surgeons and cardiologists from Stony Brook's Aortic Center. Attendees will also be provided with a free lunch and free ultrasound imaging screening for aortic disease while at the Wang Center.
Co-directors of the event are vascular surgeon Rabih Chaer, MD, Chief, Stony Brook Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and cardiothoracic surgeon Jonathan Price, MD, of our Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. A representative of Think Aorta US is also scheduled to be in attendance.
