School of Dental Medicine

The School of Dental Medicine trains dentists who are well educated in the latest technical, biological and psychological aspects of dental practice; maintains active research programs; and provides dental care to thousands of community residents each year in its treatment center. The school offers the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Advanced Specialty Education options, as well as graduate Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. School of Health Professions

School of Health Professions The School of Health Professions offers baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees in both clinical and non-clinical healthcare areas such as applied health informatics, athletic training, clinical laboratory sciences (CLS), health science, medical molecular biology, occupational therapy (OT), physician assistant (PA), physical therapy (PT), respiratory care and speech-language pathology. The school provides an interprofessional learning environment that fosters scholarly activity, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, leadership and professionalism, while affirming the importance of ethical behavior, equity, inclusion, cutting- edge technology and a team approach to healthcare. Renaissance School of Medicine

Founded in 1971, the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University is a public medical school comprising 1,245 faculty housed in eight basic science and 17 clinical science departments. Clinical faculty are based at seven main care sites: Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital, Northport VA Medical Center, Nassau University Medical Center and Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH). School of Nursing

The School of Nursing is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce of nurses at all entries of practice who are experts in socially just care, leadership, education and research to advance the health of the people of New York and the wider geographic regions and the global community. The school offers full- and part-time educational programs in preparation for professional nursing practice at the basic and advanced levels, including bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. School of Social Welfare

The School of Social Welfare prepares students for professional practice with an emphasis on healthcare and social justice. The school offers bachelor’s (BSW) and master’s (MSW) degrees in Social Work with curricular focus areas and specializations, as well as a dual-degree in Law, in partnership with Touro Law Center. The BSW and MSW programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and the MSW program meets New York State Education Department requirements for license examinations. The school’s doctoral (PhD) program focuses on policy research and education for scholarly research leading to careers as educators, researchers and policy analysts. Visit Website >
