Arash Ehteshami Afshar, MD, MSc has Joined Heart Associates of Long Island, Located in Stony Brook

Stony Brook Medicine is pleased to announce Dr. Arash Ehteshami Afshar has joined Heart Associates of Long Island, a cardiology practice in our network. 

"Dr. Ehteshami is one of the brightest and talented young cardiologists I have trained in my 34 years at Stony Brook. I am thrilled to have him join Heart Associates of Long Island," said John P. Dervan, MD. "His addition to the practice allows us to continue providing outstanding patient care. I know he will deliver quality patient-centered care, which has always been our goal since the inception of Heart Associates." 

Dr. Ehteshami is an interventional cardiologist and is board certified in general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and internal medicine. He received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Alberta School of Public Health in Canada. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside in New York City. He completed his subspecialty training in general and interventional cardiology at Stony Brook University Hospital. 

"I am very excited to join the Heart Associates of Long Island (HALI) practice at Stony Brook. I look forward to providing excellent, patient-centered cardiology care, along with my highly-skilled colleagues at this reputable practice." 

Dr. Ehteshami is currently accepting new patients and has office hours Monday-Friday.
