Pediatric Practice Joins Stony Brook Medicine Physician Network

Farzana Ahsan, MD, FAAP, and her pediatric practice have joined Stony Brook Medicine's expanding network of community practices and physicians. Dr. Ahsan specializes in pediatric and adolescent medicine and has provided comprehensive patient care for more than 30 years in Mastic and the surrounding communities.

"We are delighted that Dr. Ahsan and her practice are joining our network. The care and dedication she provides to the children and families in her area will be a great asset to the Stony Brook Children's community," said Carolyn Milana, MD, Chair, Department of Pediatrics, Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.

Stony Brook Medicine welcomes private practices committed not only to the community but also to providing the highest level of quality care.

"I am very happy to join Stony Brook Medicine Community Medical Group," said Dr. Ahsan. "This will allow the practice to grow and enable me to concentrate on taking care of my patients."

Dr. Ahsan completed her medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed her pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center. After her residency, Dr. Ahsan completed a fellowship in ambulatory pediatrics at Nassau University Medical Center.
