Join us for the Stony Brook Medicine Department of Surgery's second annual Aortic Awareness Day on Monday, October 12, 2026, between 8:30 am and 2 pm. This event will feature expert presentations by cardiac and vascular surgeons and cardiologists from Stony Brook's Aortic Center. There will also be patient speakers who will talk about their experiences with aortic disease and share their testimonials. Attendees will also be provided with a free lunch and free ultrasound imaging screening for aortic disease while at the MART Auditorium.

Co-directors of the event are vascular surgeon Rabih Chaer, MD, Chief, Stony Brook Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and cardiothoracic surgeon Jonathan Price, MD, of our Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Robert Glass of Think Aorta US is also scheduled to be in attend.
