The Post-COVID Clinic at Stony Brook Medicine Advanced Specialty Care in Commack was created to provide ongoing care and assessment of adult patients who are recovering from COVID-19. The clinic treats patients who are still experiencing symptoms as well as monitors patients for any late effects of COVID-19 infection. Patients have access to specialists in primary care, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, nephrology, vascular and neurology as well as to mental health providers.
The physicians at the clinic work together as a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care with every patient’s primary care physician if they have one, or also provide these services. Each patient will receive a care plan customized to their specific needs and our outpatient care managers will facilitate all assessments and visits that may be needed.
The Post-COVID Clinic was the first post-COVID facility in the region. It opened in November 2020 and was highlighted in Long Island's Newsday. Read the article. Watch the video.
