All Island Behavioral Health, in collaboration with Stony Brook Medicine, is a psychiatry practice providing comprehensive mental health care in Setauket and the surrounding communities. Our staff will facilitate patient-centered care through community resources, medical referrals and patient families. In our practice, we are committed to using evidence-based medicine to help provide quality care that has its foundation in shared decision making with our patients.

Dr. BunckeFilomena M. Buncke, PhD, NPP, BC
Dr. Buncke is a co-founding partner of All Island Behavioral Health, which was founded in 2001. Dr. Buncke is a board-certified nurse practitioner in adult psychiatry. She gained her Master of Science degree in the field of psychiatric nursing at Stony Brook School of Nursing, graduating summa cum laude in her class. She obtained her PhD in Psychology at Kennedy Western University in Wyoming.

Dr. Buncke is currently on staff at Mather Hospital and served as an Adjunct Professor during her tenure at Stony Brook University.

Dr. Buncke has been serving the community since 1997, providing medication management and brief psychotherapy to the residents of Long Island. She continues to mentor nurse practitioner students, as well as community-based nurse practitioners who are seeking peer supervision.

 

 

Kimberly BunckeKimberly A. Buncke, PMHNP-BC

Kimberly is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 23 years of experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook School of Nursing and went on to receive her Master of Science in Psychiatry from Stony Brook University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Nurses Association.
 
Prior to joining All Island Behavioral Health, Kimberly worked in addiction medicine and child, adolescent and adult psychiatry.

Jill is a board-certified advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She graduated from Stony Brook School of Nursing, where she earned a Master of Science degree in nursing with a specialty in psychiatry. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Areas of clinical experience include inpatient adult and adolescent psychiatry, drug and alcohol rehab as well as outpatient mental health clinics. Jill currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at Stony Brook School of Nursing; through this program, Jill also precepts students.

Before joining All Island Behavioral Health, Jill maintained a private practice in South Setauket. She also worked for five years in Mather Hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Room. Jill evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients with disorders that include depression, ADD/ADHD, schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorder.

 

 

Dr. ChiarelloMichael A. Chiarello, PhD, NPP, BC (Retired)
Dr. Chiarello is a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner who joined the practice in 1999. He is a co-founding partner of All Island Behavioral Health, which was founded in 2001. He received his Master of Science as a nurse practitioner at Stony Brook School of Nursing. He obtained his PhD in Psychology from Kennedy Western University in Wyoming.

Dr. Chiarello served as a Clinical Associate Professor, Director of the Nurse Practitioner Program in Psychiatry, and chairman during his tenure at Stony Brook School of Nursing until his retirement in 2014.

Dr. Chiarello has served the community since 1999, providing medication management and brief psychotherapy to the residents of Long Island and many other areas of the country. He continues to serve as an on-site evaluator for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and a reviewer for the International Society for Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN). He continues to mentor nurse practitioner students, as well as community-based nurse practitioners who are seeking peer supervision.
