Our Physician
Farzad Forohar, MD, is a board-certified, highly dedicated physician specializing in gastroenterology. For more than 25 years, Dr. Forohar has provided comprehensive, compassionate care to patients in Smithtown and surrounding communities.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of Pécs Medical School in Hungary. He completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Forohar shared, “I have had the pleasure of living in and serving this community for the past 25 years. As my practice has grown and evolved, so has Stony Brook University to become what it is today: a world-class hospital system. Therefore, by joining Stony Brook Medicine, my patients’ needs are best served right here at home.”
Nurse Practitioner
Jillian Fratepietro, NP Jillian is an adult nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology. With more than 20 years of experience in nursing and advanced practice care, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered digestive health services to the communities she serves. Jillian earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science as an adult nurse practitioner from Stony Brook School of Nursing in Stony Brook, New York, where she is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as adjunct faculty at Stony Brook School of Nursing, where she mentors and instructs undergraduate nursing students.
