Our Physician
Dr. Megan Lochner is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who provides gynecological care across all stages of life, from adolescence through menopause. She provides personal obstetrical care in a small office setting up until the third trimester of pregnancy. Dr Lochner offers a range of options for gynecologic conditions and is highly regarded as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. She has a special interest in menopausal hormone therapy, as well as non-hormonal treatments for the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. She serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University.
Dr. Lochner graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biology from Loyola College in Maryland and graduated from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University Hospital at Stony Brook in 2007 as administrative chief resident, earning the Golden Scalpel Award two years in a row as well as awards in teaching and humanism.
Our Nurse Practitioner
Nicole Alabre, NP, earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and her Master of Science from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program in Brooklyn, New York. She has more than five years of experience as a registered nurse, including specialized practice in mother-baby nursing. In this role, she provided comprehensive care to postpartum patients and newborns, with a focus on maternal recovery, lactation support, newborn assessment, patient education and early identification of postpartum and neonatal complications. Her background in mother-baby nursing supports a strong foundation in women’s health across the reproductive lifespan, emphasizing continuity of care, patient education and evidence-based management during the postpartum period. She also has experience in telemetry nursing, strengthening her clinical assessment skills in medically complex patients.
