Sound Neurology, in collaboration with Stony Brook Medicine, is a neurology practice providing comprehensive neurological care in Rocky Point and the surrounding communities. Our staff will facilitate patient-centered care through community resources, medical referrals and patient families. In our practice, we are committed to using evidence-based medicine to help provide quality care that has its foundation in shared decision making with our patients.

Dr. McWilliams specializes in neurology with a sub-specialty in clinical neurophysiology and has been providing patient care for more than 20 years. He is board-certified in clinical neurophysiology and neurology.

Dr. McWilliams attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in neurology, where he served as chief resident in his last year at Stony Brook University Hospital. He then went on to complete his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology before becoming a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University Hospital.

Dr. McWilliams is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, a member of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Romano specializes in neurology with a sub-specialty in clinical neurophysiology and has been serving the community for more than 20 years.

Dr. Romano attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in neurology, where he was a member of the stroke team and served as chief resident in his last year. He then went on to complete his fellowship in neurophysiology before becoming a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University Hospital.
