Farewell, Dr. Peter Judge

It is with sadness that we are saying "Goodbye" to one of our beloved physicians, Dr. Peter Judge, as he embarks on his adventures of retirement.

Dr. Judge has a few words to share with you before his departure:

"I have had the pleasure of practicing medicine in the community in which I grew up and lived for nearly 30 years. During this period of time, I have met thousands of people, made many new friends and colleagues and been given the privilege of providing medical care for many patients and their families. I have so many great memories and pray that my efforts have impacted you as favorably as they have impacted me.

The time has now come for me to change gears and transition to a new period in my life. Unfortunately, the current pandemic has made it impossible to make any formal preparations for me to say goodbye in person, as I would have wished. So I will now bid you farewell in this brief note.

I am in good health physically and spiritually and am looking forward to spending time with my wife, Ann, my family and friends, and pursuing many of those interests which I have loved and now will have time to enjoy. I am confident that I will still have the opportunity to see many of you around town, on the water and at various social activities.

I want to thank you for all the kind friendship, loyalty and support you have shown me. I shall miss you all and am eternally thankful for the time we had together."

Dr. Peter Judge

Selfishly, I am so sorry to see you go as you have been a ray of sunshine in a profession that usually is not. That said, I am happy for you and wish you only the best in health adventures and happiness on your new Journey. THANK YOU for the many years of service to us.

Happy for you to go onto family life. Sorry for us to lose you!
In these times, I don't blame you at all for getting the hell out of healthcare. The country is a mess. It will be tough to find a replacement for you though. But I am certainly enjoying my grandchildren! Thank you for everything and all of your patience and attention.

Dr. Judge.........so sad I was not able to wish you well in person but please know you are greatly appreciated for all your care and kind words over the years. I will mostly miss all the non-medical conversations you always took time to have with me. All the best to you , Ann, and the family. You certainly earned some down-time!

Amazing I'm just approaching the middle of my medical career and your leaving. During my training and throughout the south shore community your name came up often w/ patients, residents and attendings and to a person it was always glowing praise of your skills and your compassion. Your father was one of the most well respected and revered physician's in his day and you are clearly Dr Judge 3.0 , he would be exceedingly proud of you , as am I. Enjoy your time on the water with Ann.

I do not know exactly what prompted me to look up South Bay OB/GYN but I was happy to see that you retired and are doing well!! You delivered Melinda, my first born and also Steven, my third and final child. You helped me through a very difficult time when I miscarried due to fetal hydrops. I have nothing but fond memories of you. I wish you and your wife Ann many years of happiness and adventures!! You deserve every moment to be filled with joy!!

Just went to make an appt to find you retired. You were the only doctor who believed my pain, knew what was causing it, and fixed it! After three years of being ignored or placated. I was so fortunate to have accepted the appt with you, as you weren’t my regular dr but you had an appt available. God is so good! Enjoy your retirement!

When I heard last year you were retiring I was selfishly very sad. You had been my doctor for over 20 years and I trusted you implicitly. I hope you are enjoying yourself and sailing into a well deserved retirement. You are missed more than you know! Thank you for everything!

I too was sadden that you had retired. But I have known you for over 30 years. You delivered my daughter and then became her doctor many years later. You will be missed but I am happy to see you sail into retirement. Best of luck and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
Sincerely,
Nannette Armenti
