Albert H. Riccio, MD, FACC

Dr. Albert H. Riccio is a founding member of North Suffolk Cardiology. He retired from the practice on March 1, 2012. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and adult echocardiography, Dr. Ricco also helped build our accredited echocardiography lab, where he served as director until 2009. Additionally, he helped grow the practice through his special interest in cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr. Riccio received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate, Brooklyn, New York. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn and then completed his fellowship in cardiology at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. Dr. Riccio is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Cardiology, Stony Brook University Hospital and served as past Chief of Cardiology for 20 years at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital (now St. Catherine of Siena Hospital), in Smithtown, NY.
